            Joshua W. Garrett was born nearly deaf. He was born Mvskoke-Creek. He was born in America. He was born into the lower spectrum of the social class ladder. The Dead Feather concept is a result of these experiences.

There were four of them. the other two being Yahola and Hayuya.

                    ![]()  Until We Cross All Waters ReadingWarren Realrider invited me to do a poetry project with him which was broadcast on a local radio station in the Tulsa area. We went to the Mvskoke town of Okmulgee where I read to my dead relatives at Big Cusseteh. Then we hit up the Creek Nation. Then on to the Council House Museum. It was an intense day to connect on spiritual level. I think the spirits were pleased or at least entertained.
